This term in 2JS, we’ve been embracing our school value: Keep Learning – and what a term of learning it’s been!
We began with an exciting introduction to Karate, where the children developed focus, discipline, and coordination. It was a chance to learn something new and build confidence in a fun and active way.
As part of our commitment to community and learning beyond the classroom, we took part in Run4Hope, raising awareness and support for Swindon Women’s Aid. The children showed fantastic determination when running.
We also had a brilliant Swap Day, where children visited different classrooms to take part in a variety of teacher-led activities. It was a wonderful opportunity to try something new and learn in a different way.
To mark World Mental Health Day, we wore yellow and explored ways to care for our mental wellbeing. The children shared thoughtful ideas and created artwork to express how we can support ourselves and others.
For European Languages Day, we travelled to Denmark, learning about its culture, language, and traditions. The children enjoyed comparing Danish life to their own and created beautiful pieces inspired by Danish design and landmarks.
2JS have shown that learning happens everywhere – in movement, in kindness, in culture, and in creativity. We’re so proud of their curiosity and commitment to growing every day
